This are the first shots from a second-hand Pentax SMC K-mount 135mm f/2.5 lens. The point was to test the focus-abilty (manual-focus), out-of-focus qualities (bokeh), sharpness, etc.

All images:
  • handheld on Pentax K-m dSLR body with shake-reduction applied
  • converted from RAW to JPEG
  • no post-processing at all

There is no EXIF data for the aperture value nor exposure bias, as it is a K series lens that does not communicate with the body. Most images were shot at f/2.5 or f/4.0 and underexposed 0.5 eV.

In general, I found it better at close-focusing than far-focusing which is why most of their are few distance shots. The hazy Taichung air may have had something to do with that.
